How to use the template?

Below are the parameters that must be entered into the article to use the template.

| name = Name of the character
| quote = Quote of the character, preferably their catchphrase if they have one
| image = (optional - name of the character image, must have an extension)
| width = (optional - width of the image. Number followed by the literal '''px'''. If omitted it will be 150px)
| gender = Provide the gender, usually male or female
| age = (optional - the age of the character)
| birthday = (optional - the character's birthday)
| home =  (optional - where the character lives or has a home)
| region = (optional - where the character makes their home)
| class = (optional - a classification of the character within their franchise, series, or game; e.g. ''Pokémon'' has a [[Pokémon Trainer]], [[Pokémon breeder]], and so forth.)
| debut = (optional - the first appearance of the character)
| animation_counterpart = (optional - Counterpart(s) in animated media)
| game_counterpart = (optional - Counterpart(s) in the games)
| comic_counterpart = (optional - Counterpart(s) in the comics)
| category = (optional - character category. Options: video game/anime/manga. If set to "no", it will not be included in any category)
| images = (optional - if there is a category with images of the character, put "yes," otherwise omit it; if it is an organization, put "yes, organization")
| name cat = (optional - category name in case it doesn't match the character name.)
